What is escorting?

Escorting in a working ladies terms is when you go out to someone's hotel, private residence, office, restaurant, bar and many other places to see a client. It's basically when you leave home to do a job if you don't book the apartment/hotel room yourself. One of the common terms Private or independent workers are called is also "escort", however for the purpose of this page, we will take escorting to mean when you see a client not in your home/usual workplace/don't provide an incall venue.

Where we go for escorting jobs

There are a few different places we may go for escorting jobs. They are generally suggested by the client and it's up to you to either agree or disagree to doing it. There are serious pros and cons we have to consider before agreeing to these jobs and they include....

• Escorting to someone's home - this is where we go to the place where someone lives
• Hotel Escort - where we go to a hotel
• Office Jobs - where we go to someone's workplace
• Dinner Bookings - where we meet a client in a restaurant and may only do a dinner booking
• International Bookings - where we go overseas with a client

How to advertise an escorting service 

You can advertise in print media or online if you wish to advertise an escort service. Ladies are moving away from print media these days and going more online. This is because to advertise in print media it costs a ridiculous amount of money, it is very difficult to pay for (some papers wont let you pay by credit card, instead you have to front up to the office and pay cash) and you get a shitty service from people at the paper. Newspapers are notorious for treating sex workers like crap, not putting ads ladies paid for into the paper and not sending out print sheets so you can verify your ad went in and where they placed it. Advertising online also means you can reach people world wide not just in your local area. It does mean you have to be smarter with your advertising though, because you cannot target advertise as easily.

Escorts generally advertise with the words "outcalls" or "escort". Escort is no longer only used to describe the fact you go out to bookings, with many ladies now calling themselves 'escorts' as a descriptor for what they do ie. it's taken the place of 'sex worker'. This means if you ONLY provide outcalls and you want to make that perfectly clear, be sure to say "Outcalls only", or "outcalls to 5 Star Hotels".

It is not illegal to advertise escorting and in some states like Victoria, private workers are only allowed to provide an outcall service. It's best to check with your States laws on how you can advertise outcalls because in some States like Victoria even the wording you are allowed to use is dictated by legislation eg. in Victoria you must qoute your PCA number, the text of your advertisement has to be a certain font and a certain size etc.

In NSW you are not allowed to describe any form of sexual service or provide any kind of picture whether it be a line drawing or a photo if advertising in the local paper. You can pretty much say whatever you like on the internet.

In SA sex work is illegal although the Police to date have turned a blind eye to advertising and sex work - I would suggest not making any ad to graphic so you don't draw attention to yourself however.

In WA the laws are whacky, but you can pretty much say what you like, but as with all States a toned down approach is a better approach to advertising in print. Online say what you like.

Ensuring there is no-one else there

I have turned up to escort jobs in hotels and when I get there 10 other people have been in the room without my permission. I have turned up to people's houses to escort and there has been 5 of his friends there without my permission. This is a serious security issue and I would not recommend staying anywhere with more than 1 guy at the booking unless it has already been negotiated and planned for. If you are doing a booking with multiple guys I would recommend you think about things like taking a lady with you to negotiate on your behalf, to hold the money and to make sure the guys behave.

If you turn up and there are guys there that shouldn't be, I'd recommend you leave. If a guy is prepared to disrespect your booking and safety by having other people there without your permission, he isn't going to think twice about disrespecting you in other ways.

If you're doing a booking in someone elses home, many ladies go through every room of the house and look in the wardrobes, toilets etc to make sure there is no-one hiding. There are ways you can do this discreetly so your gent doesn't get upset at you.

You will generally be able to tell if there is someone else there when they book. If you hear anyone in the background, question him on it and let him know the consequences if you turn up and someone else is there. You may hear voices, or beer bottles clinking or laughing. Younger guys are more likely to engage in this behavior than more mature gents.
