Going to someone's home is one of the most comforable ways to escort, but at the same time can be one of the riskier ways to go about it. • harder to reference check a client. Generally speaking a client will REFUSE to give you his name like he would agree to do in a hotel room. This is because he thinks you may stalk him and all that other boring stuff men seem to think sex workers live to do. It is therefore riskier to escort because you can't check for fake bookings, easier for him to rape you etc etc. Escort agency's reference check in a way clients are not prepared to do with an independent worker, so it's alot safer to escort to a private residence with an escort agency as far as cutting down the incidence of fake bookigs go anyway.

How far do you travel for a job?

Of course the decision is up to you, but remember travel time is lost time and you wont get compensated enough in charging extra for travel to make it worth your while if you have to travel for half an hour to get there. You also need to think about how much it will cost you to get there in taxi/petrol/hiring a driver. Most clients will spack if you charge more than $50 in travel, but these days $50 will only get you to one end of the City and back in a taxi, so going any further than that, you will be paying for travel money out of your own pocket. If you have to travel along way, I'd suggest going for a minimum length of stay to make it worth your while ie. go for at least 2 hours instead of 1. If you don't make more travelling than you would in staying home AND if it's going to cost you more in time and money to do it, then why go?!

Escort agency's make more money on paying to transport ladies than they do on the hourly rate for the booking in many cases. An agency may be 2 blocks away from a gent, but still charge him $200 in travel saying she is on the other side of the City, so they have to pay to transport her from there to where they are. • If you are nervous or anxious about going to a private residence, it can be better to get a taxi because it means you don't have to stress about driving there, reading maps, finding parking, the client seeing your car etc which ladies find stressful at the best of times - basically catching a cab can lower your stress levels.

The cons are:

• if a client sees you arrive in a taxi, he will know you weren't dropped off by a driver so it's not as safe. For this reason, if you catch a taxi, make sure you don't tell your client when you walk thru the door. Tell him you're charging him for travel because you have to pay for a security driver to get you there
• the biggest drama is with leaving a booking. If you call a taxi, you can be waiting for a taxi for an hour or more. This means you are either waiting on the street if you leave the booking on time, or it can mean you will do extra time with the gent in his home. If you're taxi doesn't arrive and his wife is coming home, you will need to wait on the street. If you choose not to spend extra time in his house after he has stopped paying you, you will be spending time on the street. If it is a dark street, if it's Palm Beach where there aren't many taxis, if it's raining, waiting for a taxi is an unsafe drama. Take this into consideration. If your taxi doesn't come on time, you could be spending hours over time with the gent in his home - my record was 3 hours! If you're catching cabs, be sure to take a big warm jacket that covers you down to your ankles so you can stay warm by the side of the road.
• It's not discreet for you to be standing in front of your clients house waiting for the taxi where his neaighbours will see you. Be sure to wait 5+ houses away from his, to protect his privacey.
• Can be HELL expensive to catch cabs and chances are you wont be compensated for the full expense by your client. HELL EXPENSIVE! Take the amount it will cost you into consideration before agreeing to go to the booking. You could end up being there for $40 once you pay for your expenses in getting there.

Drive yourself - many ladies prefer to drive themselves to a booking because it means you don't have to rely on others to get you there or back. Many indpendent ladies are just that... independent and find it difficult to rely on anyone or anything ever.

The pros are:

• don't have to wait on the side of the road for a taxi at 1am in the morning when you finish a booking
• don't have to wait on the side of the street in the rain for a driver to come and get you

• can get changed in the car and can carry lots of different goodies. • Can be hell expensive - depends if you pay them by the hour, by the job, if they are driving you in their car and so you are paying petrol, mileage - basically the same way you would a taxi plus the money it will cost you for them to wait around and what the rate is. Also will depend on if he is being paid to protect you and fetch money if you get ripped off, or bash a guy if you get raped. Get this sorted out before the job and re-confirm what they are going to be paid and what you expect from them each and every single booking.

Where to get dropped off/where to park/what to tell him about how you got there 

One of the key safety considerations when escorting to someone's home is DON'T LET THEM SEE HOW YOU GET THERE! Dont let them see your car or there could be TROUBLE! Verifying he is where he says he is

This is extremely difficult to do and final verification can often only come when you get there. Escort agencies verify in ways that is not available for all independent escorts so many independent may be lulled into a false sense of security if they have worked for an agency. • ask him exact directions to his house from the main road.
