Cock Rings

Call the cock rings call them penis rings, the idea is that the bind the penis and testicles. The idea behind this devious device is that it traps blood in the penis, this results in engorgement, greater sensitivity, and a firmer prolonged erection and delayed ejaculation. Cock rings come in many styles, including the basic single strap-style, those that emphisise the scrotum and separate the testicles, trap the shaft for display and those that can vibrate the clit during vaginal intercourse.

The overall idea is to apply the ring snugly to the base of an erect penis; this will help prevent the blood that is keeping the penis hard from returning to the body.

Historys of Cockrings

History tells us that the use of cock rings began many centuries ago, developed for a rich prince who did battle bravely and took many women prisoners. Incapable of satisfying his women captives, he took his problem to his kingdom's man of medicine, who fashioned him a cock ring.

What are they made out of

Cock rings come in every conceivable form and material known to humankind, including rubber, silicone, leather, metal, cloth, string/rope/twine etc. Once, when I called a girl to my hotel room to spend the night, we also used two intertwined condoms with the ends cut off so it formed a figure 8... One loop was looped over the base of my penis, the other over the neck of my scrotum to delay ejaculation.

Metal, of course it can be any metal. I do not suggest copper though... Green cock unattractive

There are several styles of devices in this group... Among these are the solid, semi-solid cock-rings; Sax Leather can supply you rings fabricated from stainless steel, chrome and even exotic metals such as titanium, silver and gold. Ball stretchers which separate and stretch the scrotum; separating the testicles away from the base of the penis. Cock straps, these are open devices made of a flexiable material like leather; they are closed by either press studs, with a buckle or really modern ones that close with velcro.

Some ghetto solutions even include the rubber drive belts from vacuum cleaners, and of course rubber bands from the stationers and o-rings from your electrical or plumbing suppliers.

How to use a Cock Ring

To use a cock ring, strap it around the base of the penis and behind the testicles. If you're new to cock rings, look for styles that are easy to remove and adjust. These cock rings can be put on at any time during an erection. Secure the strap as snugly as is comfortable. If you are using a cock ring that is not adjustable, put it on when your penis is flaccid. Hold the ring under your balls and insert your testicles one at a time. Now push the penis through. The only way it will come off is if you lose your erection. For this reason, I do not recommend solid rings for all but the experts.

I would suggest that you remove any device after 20 minutes or so, definately no longer than 30 minutes. Spending too long with a cock ring on can damage the capillaries and bruise the penis, leaving you sore for a few days and where is the fun in that. Cock rings aren't recommended for anyone with vascular disease, such as diabetes, or nerve disease. Common sense dictates that if you experience discomfort, take it off.

Lastly, cock rings are relatively inexpensive, and fun to try at least once. I don't use one every time I have sex, however ocassionally it makes a change to enhance the sexual experience.

Oook so for a girly / sex worker perspective according to Lucy Blake...

Cockrings are often used by ladies who is with someone who can't either get or maintain an erection hard enough for penetration. If a lady has ever pulled out a condom, punched a whole in it and wrapped it around the base of your penis (I dont like saying cock unless I'm having nasty sex cause it sounds rude otherwise), then she has used a cockrign on you. Girls also use their fingers as cockrings. If you've ever been getting a headjob or handjob and the lady encircles your dick with her fingers at the base of your dick tightly, she is using her fingers as a cock ring.

Cockrings are tricky. I have used metal ones, rubber o rings, rubber tourniquetes designed as cock rings, leather ones as WE pictured above, basically most of the designs. In my experience there are a few basic pricipals to grasp or hard and fast rules and they are:

1. the thicker the better. I used a rubber tourniquete design and the rubber was about as thick as a piece of thin spagetti. The less surface area the more chances of bruising to happen and the blood not being cut off properly.

2. toggles - the tourniquette one had a toggle on it for tightening or loosening it. The toggle caught bits of hair in it and was very painful for the man. Careful of any bits that may scratch or catch your bits or condom in it.

3. what its made out of - leather is unhygenic and I would only ever use it with a permanent partner not multiple partner use. Metal does not come off all the time ans can on occasion need to be cut off. This means you must be VERY careful of not getting it stuck on there if your erection does not go down. I had a gay friend who flew from Melbourne to Sydney with one on and in the plane his dick swelled up as your extremities tend to do and was in a world of hurt and trouble when he got off the plane. Rubber ones are good because they can be cut off - hahaha I wouldnt like a kife near my dick if I had one but. They are made out of VERY sturdy rubber. You can get jelly/silicone ones which are pretty awesome and very hygienic. Condoms rock!

4. they act as a tourniquete basically. The same things the vampire puts on you when your having a blood test. In order for a tourniquete to be effective it needs to be on tight enough to stop the blood supply rushing out. If you put it on to tight you will cut off your artery as well so the blood wont rush in. So needs to be on tight but not too tight or you wont get a hard on. If your dick turns very cold and blue, ease off a bit. If your dick does not get hard, ease off a bit. Experiment with how tight you put it on.

5. do not use one for the first time unless your in a situation where your penis wont be held accountable in a court of law as a result of you going home with a bruise around your dick. Condoms are ok, but I wouldn't be experimenting with a rubber or metal one if I had fears around my dick being marked and seen anytime soon.

6. buying them - if you get flustered buying condoms then you've got no hope. This is 10 times more ummm tricky hahaaa. If buying one I recommend getting drunk first :) Not the sort of thing you can buy on the internet. I would go to a sex shop like the Tool Shed so you can speak to a real live guy who has used them and discusses them all day, so it's just like talking to a Doctor.

If you'd like to see every cock ring conceivable and are interested in purchasing one online, you can check them out here:

Anyhoooo that's my insight into them. They can be super duper fun for boys and I completely recommend everyone tries one (as I believe you should try everything in life at least 4 or 5 times - you might get it wrong the first few times so it takes 4 or 5 times to make a sound decision).

Mmwaaah!
